If you are looking for an amazing swimwear shopping experience and a wide range of swimwear in Kansas City, you must read this post!March is a month for many things: March Madness, Spring, Daylight Savings ending (Woo hoo!!!), (sometimes) Easter, and Spring Break. If you’re getting ready for a spring break trip and need a new swimsuit, let me give you a rundown of the best place to shop for swimwear in Kansas City!

I had a personal fitting and received a swimsuit so that I could write an honest review of the boutique. I only recommend products and services I believe in. All words and opinions are my own!

Nani Nalu Beachwear Boutique – Overview

Swimwear In Kansas City - Nani Nalu Beachwear BoutiqueNani Nalu Beachwear Boutique is an in-store-only beachwear boutique in Kansas City and Minneapolis. Why don’t they offer their swimsuits online? Because their business model is focused on their fit specialists’ knowledge of their collections and thus their ability to help you find the perfect suit(s) for you! They do take walk-ins, but it’s preferred that you set an appointment and fill out a quick questionnaire. This is so they can pre-select bathing suits based on your bra and pant size and what type of suit you’re looking for!

They have a beautifully-decorated fitting area that is only accessible to females. There was a box of individually-wrapped disposable thong underwear available in the fitting room so you could safely try on the suits without having to keep your underwear on. That was nice! 🙂

Nani Nalu Beachwear Boutique doesn’t just sell swimsuits. In addition to selling high-quality swimwear, Nani Nalu also offers beautiful swim cover-ups, beach bags, sun hats, sunglasses and even jewelry to go along with your new suit! They also have several versatile pieces that can be worn as both a dress and a cover-up!

My Fitting Experience

Helen Jon Bikini Top with a Lace-Up BackI set up my appointment online and had probably twenty suits waiting for me when I got there! They were all based on my bra size, pant size, and what style of bathing suit I was looking for. There was only maybe one or two pieces that she ended up grabbing a different size of for me. I was really impressed with the fit of all of the choices!

If you’ve been keeping up with my blog, you know I was extremely happy with the Helen Jon two-piece suit that I chose. The best part? It wasn’t even one of the original choices! About half-way through the suits, Jenny left for a moment and came back with I think three new suits for me to try on based on my feedback from the others…what I did and didn’t like about some of them and what about my body I’m self-conscious about. I tried this suit on and fell in love!

Location & Staff

If I’m being honest, driving to and around the Country Club Plaza intimidates me. haha Luckily, Nani Nalu is perfectly situated right next to a free parking garage. Can’t find on-street parking? No worries! It’s also located between hot spots Charlie Hustle and Athleta, across the street from Barnes & Noble. The store is very easy to get to and close (free!) parking makes it that much better!

The ladies who work there are all super nice and their goal is to help you find a swimsuit that makes you feel good. Everyone seemed very knowledgeable about the product and how each one fit. They carry sizes 0 to 18 (occasionally 20) and A to G cup sizes and will really work with you to find the right swimsuit for you! Drop in and tell them I sent ya! 🙂

So tell me…have you ever had a swimsuit fitting experience like this? Even if it makes you a little nervous, I promise it’s fun and worth it in the end when you have a suit that makes you feel amazing! <3
