It is quite possible that self care has never been so important. With things so uncertain in the world right now and everyone forced to stay home for such long periods of time, it is vastly important to take care of yourself. Not just for your physical health, but your mental stability. I’ve put together a list of seven things to order on Amazon for your quarantine self care. Let’s check it out…
Quarantine Self Care
A Manicure Set
Whether you usually go out to get your nails done or do them yourself, take an hour this week to give yourself a proper manicure! Don’t have all the tools you need, or need to upgrade from the set you’ve had for the last several years? This chic rose gold manicure set comes with everything you need to get your nails #manimonday ready! Other than the polish, of course.
Tip: OPI is my personal favorite nail polish brand. It is pricy, but lasts longer than anything else I’ve used! Here are some current trendy nail colors:
Aromatherapy candles can be a great way to de-stress. You can burn a nice, scented candle throughout the day while you work or teach your kids, while taking a hot bath, or even for a short time of pampering yourself. (ie…giving yourself that manicure…) This set of eight aromatherapy candles is perfect since it has a wide range of great scents in pretty canisters! I also love that they have lids.
Let me know in the comments what your favorite scent is! I love anything eucalyptus, mint, or coconut.
Hot/Cold Eye Mask
If you’re like me and get those pesky tension headaches, or are susceptible to migraines when the weather changes, an eye mask can be helpful! This one comes in a range of fun colors and can be warmed up or cooled down to match your preference. In addition to helping with headaches, it could even help with puffy eyes! How amazing does it sound to relax with one of these on while burning an aromatherapy candle?! Yes, please!
Could your hair use a little pampering right now? I know mine needs it! Yikes… Take some time to relax in the shower or a nice hot bath with a hair mask like this one from Kenra! As the weather warms up and we start spending more time outside in the sun, our hair will need more moisture anyway, so why not get a jump start on it now?! Especially if you color your hair…because I have a feeling aaaaaall the stylists are going to be BOOKED SOLID here pretty soon! #rootscity
Tip: Want to easily deep-clean your hair with adding one simple ingredient to your shampoo? Check out my blog post!
A lot of people have been forced to take their workouts from the gym to home, or have used this time of self-quarantining to start working out more. Resistance bands are a great tool to increase the effectiveness of your workouts, especially if you don’t have the space for lots of weights or equipment. Resistance bands make a “simple” exercise like a squat harder by adding resistance to your legs. Just by adding a band, you get a harder workout! This set comes with workouts, so you can quickly learn how to use them!
True Roots Cookbook
How has your diet been during this pandemic? Have you been stress eating? Be honest… 🙂 Looking for some new gluten, dairy, and/or refined sugar-free recipes? True Roots by Kristin Cavallari has over 100 recipes that are free of all three! There are recipes for everything from breakfast to dinner, appetizers to dessert, and even cocktails. Eating healthy is your best defense against sickness, so why not take this time to better your diet?! You’ll not only feel better, but you’ll look better, too. Win-win!
Kristin has a new cookbook coming out later this year, too! Pre-order it here.
Adult Coloring Books
Coloring books have been a super popular form of stress relief the last several years. And yes, I mean for adults! I chose this Psalms in Color coloring book because it includes pictures to color that features positive sayings from the book of Psalms. What better way to de-stress by coloring than coloring in words from THE Word?! 🙂
So, tell me…which of these quarantine self care items are you most likely to use? Or what is your favorite way to practice self care on the regular? Let me know down in the comments below!
