Are you familiar with the term “boyfriend jeans”? Boyfriend jeans have been around for a few years now, and don’t look to be leaving the scene any time soon. Boyfriend jeans are loose-fitting, but not so much that they are no longer flattering. They are typically fitted through the hips, then have relaxed legs and a cuffed leg opening. They are super comfy and very on-trend. Styling them can be a little difficult if you want to wear more than a t-shirt, so keep reading to learn how to style boyfriend jeans!
How To Style Boyfriend Jeans
With boyfriend jeans, you typically want to wear a top that is a little on the loose side. I love this white sequins tee from Forever 21. The boxier shape plays really well with the boyfriend jeans from Loft. You could wear the sequins shirt by itself, or if you need layers…add a cardigan like this light yellow boyfriend cardigan from Gap!
Accessories can take a simple outfit and bring it to the next level. If you want to give this outfit more of a Fall-weather vibe, you could add a beautiful scarf and a trendy pair of booties. If you’d rather keep it on the casual side, nix the scarf and trade the booties out for white sneakers. Add a chic pair of aviators and you’re set!
Boyfriend jeans are awesome because they are super versatile. You can throw on a tee and be done, or you can dress them up like I’m doing here. This pair of boyfriend jeans is from Eddie Bauer and they are actually on-trend in another way, as well. Have you seen all the jeans with unfinished hems? Yep…these jeans have that! Wear them uncuffed and be on-trend…wear them cuffed and still be on-trend! Score!
To dress up these boyfriend jeans I added this super-chic sheer plaid top from CAbi. For shoes I’d go with a trendy pair of black faux-suede pumps or a fun pair of lace-up flats which are insanely on-trend right now, too. This gorgeous long “Rayne” necklace from Kendra Scott would look amazing with this outfit, too.
This last outfit is more casual, but still trendy. Aztec and tribal prints are still very on-trend this year, as is the hi-low cut. This gorgeous dolman-sleeved tee looks awesome against these white boyfriend jeans from Eddie Bauer. You could wear these two pieces and call it good, but if you want to add another layer…you can’t go wrong with a black moto jacket right now! Your shoe selection for this outfit is really about the same for the others. Booties, flats, or a simple sneaker would work great!
